Zacht is het nieuwe stoer!
Drie acrobaten nemen het tegen elkaar op in een fysiek spel: het ene moment ruw en spectaculair, het volgende vloeiend en teder. Ze vechten, springen, duiken en vangen elkaar op. Samen zoeken ze het gevaar op, maar tegelijk komen ze ook gevaarlijk dicht bij elkaar. Softies doorbreekt de clichés over wat stoer is en wat flauw, over hoe meisjes en jongens zich gedragen, over hoe circus of dans er zou moeten uitzien. Uiteindelijk staat kwetsbaarheid centraal in deze virtuoze dans- en circusvoorstelling.

Over de makers
Hanna Mampuys is fysiek performer, acrobate en circusmaker. Ze begon als jonge danser bij fABULEUS, richtte in 2013 het circuscollectief Deux Sans Trois op, en maakte de voorstelling TYPO, waarmee ze enkele jaren toerde door binnen- en buitenland. Nu werkt ze met Toon Van Gramberen verder onder de naam There There Company. Samen maken ze voorstellingen op de grens tussen circus en dans. Hanna danst ook bij Cie Woest en werkt als coach en jurylid voor de Rotterdamse circusopleiding Codarts.
fABULEUS uit Leuven produceert dans en theatervoorstellingen en heeft de artistieke samenwerking tussen jong talent en ervaren makers centraal staan. Ze bereiken met hun producties een breed publiek van alle leeftijden, met speciale aandacht voor jongeren en kinderen. In 2016 won fABULEUS de Ultima voor de Podiumkunsten 2016, de cultuurprijs van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap.
Dit programma is onderdeel van Tweetakts international programme for professionals. Tijdens dit weekend voor professionals presenteert Tweetakt grensverleggende voorstellingen voor alle leeftijden aan internationale programmeurs.

Soft is the new tough!
Three acrobats challenge each other in a game of physicality: rough and spectacular one moment, fluid and tender the next. They fight, jump, dive, and catch each other. Banding up to do dangerous things, while coming dangerously close to each other. Softies does away with any cliché views on what is tough and what is weak-kneed, on how girls should behave or boys, on what circus should look like or dance. A virtuoso dance and circus performance that is all about having the guts to be vulnerable.

About the makers
Hanna Mampuys is a physical performer, acrobat and circus maker. She started as a young dancer at fABULEUS, founded the circus collective Deux Sans Trois in 2013, and made the show TYPO, with which she toured at home and abroad for several years. Now she is working with Toon Van Gramberen under the name There There Company. Together they create shows that straddle the line between circus and dance. Hanna is also a dancer with Cie Woest and works as a coach and jury member at Codarts Circus school in Rotterdam.
fABULEUS from Leuven produce dance and theatre shows. Its central focus is on artistic collaboration between talented young people and experienced artists. With their productions they target wide audiences of all ages, with a special focus on children and adolescents. In 2016 fABULEUS won the Ultima voor de Podiumkunsten, the culture prize awarded by the Vlaamse Gemeenschap.
This program is part of Tweetakts international program for professionals. During this weekend for professionals, Tweetakt presents groundbreaking performances for all ages to international programmers.
